Abstract

This article places for consideration main problematic questions of the state politics, government activities of Great Duchies of Lithuania from the beginning of the XVI century to 1569. Valny (general) Seim was an estate representative body of power, which regulated the rule of the Grand Duchy, sovereign as a head of the Council of landowners Seim sessions toor places in such towns as Vilno, Grodno, Brest, Slonim, Novogrudok, Minsk, Principal questions of Seim sessions were: raising of taxes, making alterations in legislation, and also questions of foreign and home policy of the State.
