Ценность детей в современном обществе

Abstract

Проблема низкой рождаемости рассматривается как значимая для современных обществ и анализируется сквозь призму подхода «ценности» детей, учитывающего «полезность» и «издержки» от рождения ребенка. Преобладание эмоционального аспекта ценности детей ведет к уменьшению количества детей в семье, сказывается на репродуктивных установках молодых. Высокая их стоимость в современном обществе заставляет сокращать число детей в семье до минимума. Нижегородские исследования разных лет показывают, с одной стороны, высокую значимость эмоциональной составляющей в мотивах рождения детей и большое число «издержек», связанных с их рождением и воспитанием. В то же время дети остаются смысловой жизненной ценностью, в том числе для молодых.

The problem of low fertility is seen as significant for modern societies and is analyzed through the prism of the approach of the “value” of children, taking into account the “usefulness” and “costs” of having a child. The predominance of the emotional aspect of the value of children leads to a decrease in the number of children in the family and affects the reproductive attitudes of the young. Their high cost in modern society makes them reduce the number of children in the family to a minimum. Nizhny Novgorod studies of different years show, on the one hand, the high importance of the emotional component in the motives for having children and a large number of “costs” associated with their birth and upbringing. At the same time, children remain a meaningful life value, including for young people.
