dc.subjectOn the basis of the developed “Technique of assessment of functioning of silvicultural establishments on the territory of radioactive pollution” the complex analysis of functioning of GSLHU “Vetka special forestry” and GSLHU “Narovlya special forestry” of Gomel region during 2012–2014 in such directions as the forest fund, forest exploitation, losses of forest resources, radiation doses, economic and social development has been done. The analysis of GSLHU “Vetka special forestry” economic indicators has shown the increasing proceeds from sales of production, works, services per 1,0 thousand ha of lands covered with wood, growth of its own means and decrease in a share of means of the republican budget in the total amount of expenses on maintaining forestry in 2014. It has been found out that in GSLHU “Narovlya special forestry” the volume of production in the actual prices in terms of US dollars and revenue fluctuate every year. There is no steady tendency of growth of net profit and profitability of the sold products, works, services. The average monthly salary in forestries is 30–100 US dollars lower than across Gomel region. It has been found out that GSLHU “Vetka special forestry” and GSLHU “Narovlya special forestry” for the present don't develop steadily because of a number of economic and social problems as well as radioactive pollution of lands of the forest fund which limits forest exploitation volumes, first of all on wood whose realization in the internal and external markets allows forestries to gain the main income.
