This study explores the evolution of Access Control Systems (ACS) and their adaptation to modern technologies, reflecting the ongoing advancements in security demands. Tracing the history of access control from simple mechanical locks in ancient civilizations to sophisticated smart technologies, we analyze the impact of innovations such as biometrics and the Internet of Things (IoT) on access management strategies. The research identifies key trends and challenges within modern ACS, pointing out cybersecurity vulnerabilities and the necessity for improved legal frameworks. The proposed model integrates smart locks with electronic health records, allowing healthcare providers secure access to patient data, thus enhancing patient care and operational efficiency. The findings emphasize the need for ongoing development and integration of modern ACS to address current challenges in the healthcare context, particularly in regions like Yemen.ru_RU
